The BUSA™ Mouse Plow is now officially on the market, finally providing a truly effective, targeted, and legal tool for controlling field voles – whether on large areas or within regenerative farming systems.
For vole control, only dangerous substances requiring special temporary permits could be used. Since bait treated with poison is hazardous to any living creature that consumes it, surface application is strictly prohibited. In practice, this meant manual application – requiring a lot of labor, at high cost, and with uncertain results. Surface spreading is legally forbidden, practically risky, and can cause serious damage to wildlife.
The BUSA™ Mouse Plow is a tool that creates artificial tunnels in infested areas. Into these tunnels, it precisely delivers bait treated with chemicals, which the field vole finds and consumes underground.
Operating the tool requires only one operator and one power unit. Depending on the application plan, between 1 and 10 hectares can be treated per hour. Compared to manual application, this results in enormous savings in labor costs. On the order of 100 hectares, the investment in the equipment pays for itself in a single treatment – considering labor costs alone.
The machine has already proven itself in several countries, and from now on it can also be deployed under local conditions. It is recommended for arable crops, grasslands, and forest plantations – everywhere voles cause serious damage.
