We use pumps that can be attached to a PTO shaft as standard equipment, but 12V or hydraulic pumps can also be requested.
Thanks to the machine’s large free height, it is possible to supply nutrients to large plants. Due to its 80 cm free height, the machine lifts itself.
INJ is the product name of the liquid-fertilizer injector developed by BUSA™ in response to increasing customer demand in the early 2010s. These machines were difficult or impossible to obtain, but it was already clear that granulated fertilizer and shallowly applied liquid were not good solutions during hot springs.
The frame of the machine was developed from the cultivator design usually used by BUSA™. The final design was created for a partner who requested that we increase the hitch height, even though we said that it would reduce the lifted free height. This gave us the idea of creating a self-lifting frame, which is picked up by the tractor’s lifted hitch system, so it does not destroy large crops either.
There are several economic reasons for independent liquid fertilizer application. Most importantly, the liquid is more effective than granules even in dry, hot weather, but only if it reaches deeper, cooler, and more humid layers.
An important economic decision is whether to do it separately or combined with hoeing.
Solo injection can be done at high speed because there is no need to maintain a small safety distance. Hoeing is fundamentally more precise and slower work. If there is capacity for it, it is worth separating the two operations because if they are combined, you have to go slower and stop from time to time to refuel the fertilizer.
To minimize costs and environmental impact, it is important to apply only as much input material as it is really necessary in every area.
In our case, this is realized by the FARMSCAN JACKAL-equipped BUSA™ nutrient applicators. The amount of liquid applied can be precisely monitored while driving, and can be adjusted at the push of a button. With BUSA™ machines, liquid quantities ranging from 30-40 L/Ha to 400-500 L/Ha can be applied.

and an additional front tank can also be used. If the main tank and the control assembly are at the front, the applicator can be combined with other tools.

One or two injector bodies can be installed per row at a ~75 cm row spacing. One injector per row means fewer elements and a higher dose per element, but the plant receives the nutrient asymmetrically.
Two injectors per row means less quantity per element at the same dose, but more uniform distribution. More injector elements can be placed on the beam for smaller row spacing or surface application.
We typically use AnnoviReverberi PTO-mounted diaphragm pumps. AR 252, AR 70, AR 115, or even AR 135 pumps can be ordered . On smaller machines, we can also use 12V pumps for lower flow rates.
A somewhat simpler and less powerful system can be built from these – we also use 12V pumps for transfer pumps, which can be equipped with a simple switch or controlled by electronics that monitor the emptying of the main tank.
This simple frame was designed for injectors placed at the front, but it can also be used at the back. Small machines can be built from it, but it is less variable due to its single-row arrangement.
The main feature of the frame is that it can work in large stands, as it lifts itself up. Due to its twin beam, it allows for a wide variety of injector layou.ts Its simple, manually closing wing structure does its job reliably. One or two tanks can be added.
If required, an additional 660 or 1100 liters of liquid can be added to the machine. It can be front three-point hitched or can be mounted on the front weight attachment point. It can be designed as a main tank, in which case the valve block is located here, so it can be used with other machines.
If you want to realize liquid fertilizer application with cultivation in one pass with one machine, then the BUSA™ KS Row Crop Cultivator equipped with BUSA™ Rotors will be the right tool for you.
The Gen4 cultivator elements can be equipped with liquid injectors. In this case, injection is possible at a depth of 6-8 cm, i.e., the cultivator working depth + 3 cm.

Thanks to the large free height of the machine, nutrient supply for large plants can also be implemented. Due to its 80 cm free height, the machine lifts itself.
During hot springs, granulated fertilizer and shallowly applied liquid are not good solutions. Granulated fertilizer cannot be utilized in the absence of rain, and shallowly applied liquid evaporates.

By default, we deliver the ARAG proportional valve system with a Farmscan Jackal control unit, but if you want to use another existing spray control system, the machine can be ordered with preparation only.

With our injectors, liquid can be injected to a depth of 8-10 cm. With the injector mounted on the cultivator, it is possible to inject to a depth of the cultivator +3 cm, so it is possible to inject to a depth of 6-8 cm.
We use a spring-loaded, self-adjusting coulter disc, so the working depth is always even and the machine does not get clogged on areas with plant residue.
