Discover the BUSA™ Heavy Field Cultivators!

Our Heavy field cultivators are machines for stubble breaking and shallow primary tillage. The spring-secured cultivator elements bring clean soil to the surface from the lower soil layers.

The elements arranged in five rows do not clog even on corn stubble, making the machine excellent at cutting and mixing.

FEATURED PROPERTIES

Advantages of the BUSA™ Heavy Field Cultivators

01
01

Spring-secured element

Due to its high pre-load and degressive spring characteristic, the tool only moves in case of overload, but with decreasing tension, thus avoiding damage.

02
02

Clog-free operation

The elements arranged in five rows do not clog even on corn stubble.

03
03

Simple depth adjustment

Quick depth adjustment with a pin at the front and shims at the back.

04
04

Wear-resistant tools

Our tines are made of tempered spring steel in-house, allowing us to maintain their quality.

05
05

Transport wheels located in the frame

Thanks to the transport wheels located in the frame, the machine can turn easily in a smaller space, and if necessary, it can reduce the load on the breaking rollers.

06
06

Tine variations

Mountable tines that can be requested with or without wings. In the former case, shallow cultivation of the entire surface can be achieved.

BUSA™ HEAVY FIELD CULTIVATOR

History of the product family

What exactly is a Heavy Field Cultivators?

They are used for post-harvest stubble breaking, tending to plowed stubble, and shallow primary tillage.

The basic task of stubble cultivation is to preserve moisture and mix the surface layer of soil with the shallowly buried plant residues. Before harvesting, humidity is high in the dense vegetation, so the fresh stubble is moist and easy to cultivate. The later we cultivate it, the more water we lose, and the harder it becomes to cultivate.

In closed stubble, the level of moisture is stable which makes subsoiling and possible plowing easier and more effective.

Why is it worth using the BUSA™ machines?

The Heavy field cultivator is a machine for soil loosening, crumbling, and mixing. The spring-protected cultivator elements arranged in five rows perform these tasks. We recommend our heavy cultivators with small tine spacing, but the number of tine and spacing is selected by the customer. The individually mounted, spring-protected discs perform clod-breaking, smooth plant residues, and close the furrows of tines.

The large-diameter T-roller at the rear of the machine is responsible for surface finishing and for closing the soil, thus creating an ideal soil structure and preventing moisture evaporation from the soil.

The precise depth control is performed by the depth-limiting gauge wheels at the front of the machine and the rollers at the back.

Thanks to the integrated transport wheel located in the machine frame, the turning radius of the machine decreases while stability increases.

Versatile machine

It is capable of shallowly burying plant residues without clogging. It is also excellent for tending to already cultivated areas after stubble breaking, and the working depth can be increased up to 25 cm.

Dense tine spacing

The BUSA™ Heavy cultivators are characterized by dense tine spacing. The tine can be equipped with wings, allowing the entire surface to be tilled even shallowly.

Precise depth control

It is necessary to cultivate the stubble shallowly (around 10 cm), so precise depth control is very important. This can be easily achieved with the gauge wheels at the front of the machine and the slated rollers at the back of the machine, allowing for great results even on uneven surfaces.

What kind of configurations are available?

Large T-roller

T-profiled heavy roller for soil compaction. Similar in design to the spiral angle profile roller. The T-profile spine provides effective clod-breaking and deep compaction. Suitable for rough surfaces and resistant to clogging due to its mud scrapers.

BUSA™ VE

Our heavy field cultivators are machines for stubble breaking and shallow primary tillage. The spring-secured cultivator elements bring clean soil to the surface from the lower soil layers. The elements arranged in five rows do not clog even on corn stubble.

For precise depth control, the machine is equipped with gauge wheels. After the cultivating elements, a levelling disc element and a large-diameter roller can be mounted to close the stubble.

Frequently asked questions

How are the cultivator elements protected against overload?

Our tines have spring-secured element protection.

Why is it good that the transport wheel is located inside the frame?

Thanks to the transport wheels located in the frame, the machine can turn easily in a smaller space.

How deep does the machine work?
It can work up to 25-30 cm deep, depending on the soil condition.
How can the working depth be adjusted?

The gauge wheels at the front of the machine can be adjusted with a tap, and the rollers at the back of the machine can be adjusted with shims. These two elements ensure precise depth control.

What is the tine spacing of the heavy field cultivators?

We recommend our heavy cultivators with small tine spacing, but the number of tine and spacing is selected by the customer.

What kind of finishers are the BUSA™ Heavy cultivators available with?

The large-diameter T-roller at the rear of the machine is responsible for surface finishing and for closing the soil, thus creating an ideal soil structure and preventing moisture evaporation from the soil.

What is the purpose of levelling disc element?

The individually mounted, spring-protected discs perform clod-breaking, smooth plant residues, and close the furrows of tines.

What frame versions are available for the BUSA™ Heavy cultivators?

Our Heavy cultivators are available in fixed and foldable, mounted and trailed versions.

What is the purpose of the Heavy field cultivators?

They are used for post-harvest stubble breaking, tending to plowed stubble, and shallow primary tillage.

How many rows of tines are there on the BUSA™ Heavy cultivators?

The BUSA™ VE Cultivators can be ordered with 3, 4, or 5 rows of tines.
