Advantages of the BUSA™ Rotors

A big leap forward was the patent for the adjustable angle rotary head, which allows the working depth to be adjusted to the layer being worked.
Row crop cultivation
because the machine either maneuvered slowly between rows to avoid cutting plants, or only cultivated the center of the row with a wide protective…
or just cultivated the middle of the line with a large defensive distance to pass. But in addition to the row, it would be really important to eradicate weeds and remove potting soil. The solution is the rotary cultivator with rotary head elements. Next to the plant, the blade only moves downward, then it moves towards the middle of the row. This way, even at very high speeds, it doesn’t harm the plants, making it possible to cultivate even very small and weak plants.

break the weeds’ stems, pull off the leaves, tear off the roots and cover them with soil, leaving the weed unable to grow again.
Durability
Forged tools have high wear resistance and strength. The lifespan of the blades is approximately 600 hectares per meter, and one blade per meter is sufficient as a spare part.
High working speed
With the BUSA™ Rotor, you can work at high speeds on both fields and between rows. An advantage is that it works even better with increasing speed, allowing you to save time when using the tool.
History of the element
What is the BUSA™ Rotor?
The BUSA™ Rotor is a seedbed maker and primary tillage finisher based on a completely novel concept. It was developed and patented by our founder Benedek Horváth in the beginning of the 80’s.
The BUSA™ Rotor is used on the fields, in between rows and on plantations.
It has strong clot breaking and weeding capabilities, thanks to its high speed and acceleration.
A huge advantage of our rotor compared to rigid tools is that is does not get clogged and does not throw the soil about, which make fast work without constant supervision possible.
Outstanding lifespan
Our BUSA™ Rotors are made of special premium-quality Swedish spring steel. Thanks to the patented forging technology, the blades are strong, resilient, and exceptionally wear-resistant.
Due to the wear-resistant tools, the implement is reliable and requires low maintenance; the rotating cultivation elements do not clog, ensuring continuous operation even in challenging conditions.

Field
The implement is ideal for spring and fall seedbed preparation, primary tillage finishing, and stubble maintenance. With the BUSA™ Rotor, a seedbed can be prepared in a single pass, potentially saving 3-4 work further rounds compared to other technologies.
Due to the advantageous features of the BUSA™ Rotor, it can also be used in traditional, mulch, and min-till technologies.
Row crop
The rotary cultivator is suitable for cultivating between the rows with ~2-10 cm row spacing, for filling, for concentrated, combined application of fertiliser and granules.
The machine has a huge advantage over other row cultivators in that it does not clog in extreme situations.
Orchard
With our Orchard cultivators equipped with BUSA™ Rotors you can quickly and efficiently weed your orchards, vineyards, and other plantations. The weed-killing and covering capabilities of the BUSA™ Rotor cultivation element make the implement suitable for eliminating up to 100% of weeds from the soil surface.
Additionally, the element is suitable for regulating greening processes between rows. It is also possible to cultivate only a narrow strip close to the stems or trunks rather than the entire surface.
Surface
The main functions and features of the BUSA™ Rotor include covering, a wide range of moisture conditions, levelling, weed control, clogging-free operation, and clod-breaking.
Due to its outstanding clod-breaking ability, it can replace up to four passes performed by traditional implements. The BUSA™ Rotor is a perfect solution for mechanical weed control tasks, performing excellent covering and chopping functions without clogging. The vertical movement of the blades results in deep soil compaction, creating excellent soil conditions.
Thanks to its advantageous features, the BUSA™ Rotor can be used in traditional, mulch, and min-till technologies as well.
Patented, adjustable rotors
With the development of adjustable rotors, the BUSA™ Rotor has become suitable for spring seedbed preparation, soil levelling, as well as shallow incorporation of chemicals and fertilizers into the soil.
The cultivation depth can be easily and quickly adjusted to different soil moisture conditions, preventing the implement from forming clods in excessively wet layers.
Row cultivation
It can be used between the rows of crops, in vineyards, and orchards alike.
Due to the downward motion of the blades, it destroys weeds or clods more efficiently than other tools. The rotating tool is self-cleaning, quickly getting rid of larger mulch or weed residues. The frequent and rapid movement of the blades eliminates all weeds in the row, and it is perfect for dealing with cover crops as well.
A significant advantage is that it works better with increasing speed; the forged steel blades have outstanding wear-resistance, and do not get damaged by rocks or roots. Their crosswise movement levels the surface both above and below, allowing for quick pesticide application on the soil cultivated with the BUSA™ Rotor.
It is also safe in orchards since the outer rotors approach the tree trunks or stems with their rolling points, and even if they collide with them, they do not get stuck, do not uproot the plant, and do not get damaged.
In the case of field application, even very small and weak plants can be hoed, because at the momentary stopping point of the Rotor, the blade moves only downwards next to the plant and then towards the centre of the row, so it does not push the plant out of the soil at very high speeds, nor does it throw the row, which makes it possible to hoe even very small and weak plants.

Adjustable rotors

Total weed control
This special tool, which is soil-driven, performs a rotating motion. Its principle of operation means that it will not clog up even in extreme conditions. It is no coincidence that it is one of the world’s most effective mechanical weed controllers.
